We keep this simple: the website doesn’t track you, and we only use the details you choose to send us to talk about your project.

Who we are

Ozotea Software (OPC) Pvt. Ltd. (“Ozotea”, “we”, “us”) is a mobile and web app development company based in Bengaluru, India. We design and build iOS, Android, cross-platform and web apps for our own products and for clients. This policy explains how we handle personal data when you visit www.ozotea.com or contact us.

What this policy covers

This policy covers this website and the conversations you have with us about a project. It does not cover the apps shown on this site:

  • Our own apps, such as Expensio, Silent Dose and ToDo, each have their own privacy policy, linked from their App Store or Google Play listing.
  • Apps we built for clients are operated by those clients under their own privacy policies.

Information we collect

Information you give us

When you email us, call us or use the contact form, we receive the details you choose to share, such as your name, email address, phone number, what you need built, your budget and your message.

The contact form does not send anything to our servers. It opens your own email app with a message already filled in, and we only receive it if you choose to send that email.

Information collected automatically

This website does not use cookies or advertising trackers. It stores one small setting in your browser to remember that you’ve seen the cookie notice. See our Cookie Policy.

Three services load when you open the site:

  • GitHub Pages hosts the site and may log technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and to keep the service running.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits without cookies. It records the page viewed, the referring site, browser and device type, and your country (derived from your IP address, which is not stored), so we can see how many people visit and from where.
  • Google Fonts supplies the site’s typefaces, so your browser sends your IP address and browser details to Google when the fonts load.

How we use your information

We use the information you send us to:

  • reply to your enquiry and arrange a call
  • prepare estimates, proposals and agreements
  • deliver, support and invoice projects you engage us for
  • meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only when needed to run our business:

  • Service providers that help us operate, such as Google (email), GitHub (website hosting) and Cloudflare (visitor statistics).
  • Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect our legal rights.
  • A successor business, if Ozotea is merged or sold, under the same protections described here.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails and call notes for as long as we need them to respond and keep business records, usually up to three years after our last contact. Project records may be kept longer where a contract or the law requires it. You can ask us to delete your data sooner, as described below.

How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS, and we limit access to your information to the people who need it to work with you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

Your rights

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other laws that apply to you, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you
  • correct or update it
  • delete it, where we are not required to keep it
  • stop using it, if you withdraw your consent

Data outside India

Some of our service providers, such as Google and GitHub, may process data on servers outside India. They are required to protect it in line with their own privacy commitments and applicable law.

Children

This website is meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
